Omid began his journey into the social and behavioral sciences as an alcohol and drug counselor before transitioning into research at the University of California, Davis. Completing a Master of Arts in psychology at Pepperdine University where he gained experience as a mental health worker before transitioning into a clinical case manager and subsequent TMS technician.
