EMBP Treatment

At Conscious Health & Wellness Center, we’re your partner on the journey to mental well-being through ElectroMagnetic Brain Pulse therapy, better known as EMBP. EMBP uses brain mapping with an EEG to help us understand just how your brain works. Using the data gathered, we can target the areas of the brain that need improvement, which results in improved enhanced mental health.

How does EMBP Therapy work?

ElectroMagnetic Brain Pulsing Treatment (EMBP) is a new, cutting-edge technology that uses brain mapping to design a fully customized delivery of stimulus to specific neurological sites in order to help restore and optimize brain functionality. It is non-invasive and painless. Brain-wave-guided transcranial magnetic stimulation treatment was discovered by Yi Jin, MD, through his academic research and clinical applications over the past 30 years. It has been developed in combination with his knowledge of the first principles of thermodynamics, and information processing of the brain, and his clinical experiences in psychiatry. The essence of the treatment is identifying the patient’s brain condition through AI assisted quantitative analyses and then delivering a customized, pulse-matching, ElectroMagnetic stimulation to normalize the brain condition.

Recent studies demonstrate the remarkable effectiveness of targeted TMS, guided by individual EEG evaluations, in treating conditions like depression, ADHD, anxiety, and substance use disorders. EMBP is a personalized and non-pharmaceutical ElectroMagnetic procedure. Progress is monitored through serial q-EEG, allowing adjustments over time to enhance effectiveness. Used in conjunction with traditional treatment such as talk therapy, experiential therapy, and prescription medications, it can be the tool that provides life-changing results.

The EMBP Experience

How Does it Work?

EMBP uses a suite of Class II medical devices. It begins by using an EEG to gather data that can be analyzed to create an algorithm that shows how a person’s brain works. The EEG creates an image of the electrical activity in a person’s brain that acts as a map that identifies brain areas that may not function properly. As a result, a treatment plan can be constructed that will use Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) to restore the neurological function to more optimal levels. Both EMBP and TMS are non-invasive procedures and do not require the use of any pharmaceuticals. The overall plan is individualized to meet the needs and specificity of each person’s situation and treatment goals.

History of EMBP

EMBP therapy was created in 1987 when Yi Jin, MD, discovered the application of TMS therapy as a way to treat people undergoing psychiatric treatment. This approach helps people with mental health disorders more thoroughly by understanding where the faulty wiring in their brains exists. Quantitative analyses of the data gathered allow a trained clinician to administer electrical impulses to the brain that help normalize the underperforming areas.

EMBP Treatment Process

Evaluation: An EEG is taken of the individual’s brain to understand how it works in relation to mental health disorders.

Analysis and Protocol: A trained clinician analyzes the data taken by comparing it with a normative database through the use of an artificial intelligence (AI) process.

Treatment Begins: Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation is provided by administering variable pulse intervals during therapy sessions several times per week.

Evaluation of Progress Made: Additional EEGs may be taken to help assess the progress made in altering the individual’s brain functions. Any necessary modification to the TMS treatments will be made.
