Do I have anxiety? From a clinical perspective, the only way to get a correct answer to that question is to be evaluated by a qualified professional. An anxiety quiz can help you decide if it’s time to schedule that evaluation.
What Is an Anxiety Quiz For?
An online anxiety quiz can help you decide if it’s time to talk to your doctor or another professional about what you’ve been experiencing.
Everyone has moments of anxiety from time to time. In some cases, it can be healthy, even beneficial response to stress or pressure.
For example, when you’re facing an impending deadline or getting ready to give a big presentation, your nervousness may trigger a boost of energy, motivation, and increased focus. That’s an example of your body harnessing anxiety to enhance your performance.
In other circumstances, though, anxiety can have a decidedly different impact.
Some people experience such severe anxiety that they’re unable to function to their full capacity at work, in school, or in other important areas of life. For others, anxiety symptoms become virtually omnipresent, without any clear connection to an external trigger.
In cases such as these, professional care can make a world of difference. Anxiety disorders are treatable conditions. When a person receives the right medication and/or therapy, they can learn to manage their symptoms and minimize the negative impact that anxiety has had on their life.
But before you can benefit from treatment, you need to be evaluated by a professional who can review your symptoms and make an accurate diagnosis. Knowing what type of problem you are dealing with is a vital step toward finding the best path forward.
If you think you might have an anxiety disorder, but you’re not sure if you should schedule a mental health evaluation, the feedback you receive from an anxiety quiz can help you make the right choice.

Assessing the Anxiety Quiz
You took the anxiety quiz, you entered your information, and you received an email with your results.
Now what?
First, we need to emphasize a two points that we alluded to earlier in this post:
- This anxiety quiz is not a replacement for a comprehensive assessment by a qualified healthcare provider.
- You can’t use this quiz to diagnose yourself with an anxiety disorder, nor can you interpret your results as proof that you don’t have anxiety or another mental health concern.
Now let’s discuss what you can do with the information you’ve received.
The results email should have contained a numerical score that falls into one of the following categories:
- Minimal anxiety
- Mild anxiety
- Moderate anxiety
- Severe anxiety
This gives you a general snapshot of your anxiety level over the past two weeks.
If your score puts you in the “minimal” category, that means you either haven’t been experiencing much anxiety, or you’ve been managing it well (or both).
Moving up the scale to mild, moderate, and severe indicates that your anxiety is increasing, but your ability to cope may be struggling to keep up.
Your challenge is to put this information into an appropriate context, so that you can decide on what to do next. Here are a few additional questions that can help:
- If you took this quiz last month or a few months ago, do you think your answers would have been the same? If not, does it feel like your anxiety is improving, or getting worse?
- Did your results surprise you? If so, did the quiz suggest that your anxiety is more severe than you expected, or less?
- How have your anxiety symptoms been impacting your life? Have you been able to remain fully present and engaged at work, in school, or at home? Or has it become increasingly difficult for you to get up and get through the day?
If you have even the slightest concern that anxiety may be preventing you from living a more productive and satisfying life, there’s no harm in scheduling an assessment.
At Conscious Health, you can get a free mental health assessment with no strings attached.
If the professional who conducts your assessment determines that you can benefit from professional help, they will discuss your options with you so that you can make most informed decision.
If it turns out that you were just having a rough week or two, but overall you’re doing OK, they may suggest some self-soothing techniques or other strategies that can help.
What’s most important is that you will have the information you need, so that you can make the right choice about treatment, your health, and your future.
